BOM & lifecycle support

BOM support for supply continuity and lifecycle risk

Share your BOM and tell us where supply continuity matters most. We can discuss lifecycle status, PCN and end-of-life signals, single-source exposure, and potential alternatives with your purchasing and engineering teams. What a review covers, and how results are delivered, are agreed for each project.

Why BOM risk matters for long-life systems

A product that stays in production for many years will usually outlive some of its components. Parts are discontinued, changed through PCNs, or depend on a single source. Identifying these risks early gives your team time to plan, rather than react after supply stops.

Supply continuity

Not every line on a BOM carries the same risk. A review can start with the parts you consider critical, in the context of your production plan and expected product lifetime.

Lifecycle risk: PCN, EOL and single-source exposure

Lifecycle information is drawn primarily from manufacturer product records, datasheets, PCN/EOL notices, and authorized-channel information, supplemented by verifiable supply data. Where a part's status cannot be confirmed, it is treated as unconfirmed rather than settled.

Potential alternatives

Where a part is at risk, we can identify potential alternatives for your team to assess. Final compatibility and qualification remain subject to your engineering validation.

How a review is scoped

An initial assessment can be scoped to your project. Depending on what is agreed, a review may look at lifecycle status, PCN/EOL signals, single-source exposure, and supply observations for the lines in scope. Detailed reviews, alternative research, and any follow-up reviews are quoted once BOM size, deliverables, and frequency are agreed.

Follow-up reviews and last-time buys

Periodic reviews of critical parts, and planning for last-time buys, can be discussed as part of a project scope.

Confidentiality

If you need an NDA before sharing a full BOM, tell us when you get in touch and we will discuss terms. We do not forward a complete BOM to suppliers without your approval; quotation requests to suppliers include only the part numbers, quantities, and specifications needed.

What to include with your BOM

  • Manufacturer part numbers and manufacturers
  • Quantity per unit and annual volume
  • Expected product lifetime
  • Which lines you consider critical
  • Any approved-manufacturer or qualification constraints

FAQ

Which file formats can I send?

Excel, CSV, or PDF through the inquiry form, up to 10 MB.

Is there a fee for a BOM review?

An initial assessment is scoped to your project. Detailed or follow-up work is quoted once scope and deliverables are agreed.

Can you keep watching my BOM for changes?

Periodic reviews of critical parts can be discussed as part of a project scope.

Do you guarantee that an alternative will work?

No. Alternatives are proposed for your engineering team to evaluate and qualify.

Can we sign an NDA first?

Tell us when you get in touch, and we will discuss NDA terms before you share a full BOM.
